Cornwall, an ever popular UK destination for many tourists every year, is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and coastline walks in England. Filled with countless holiday homes, delicious restaurants and cute cafes, it makes the perfect place for your next UK staycation. Not that I need to persuade you, the beaches will do that for themselves! Below are six of my favourite spots with amazing views on Cornwall’s North Coast.
Carbis Bay
Carbis Bay is a gorgeous seaside resort and village by St Ives. Unlike many other beaches in Cornwall, it isn’t a hotspot for surfing which makes it a perfect beach for families and friends. From the top of the hill, you can get a beautiful view of the bay, and even catch the train go by on the cliffside if you’re lucky! There are hotels and restaurants in the bay, or you can take a gentle two mile walk to St Ives, a much busier seaside town.
Godrevy – National Trust
Godrevy is another gorgeous beach in Cornwall – aren’t they all?! Park your car in the National Trust car park and follow the walkway across the little bridge over the stream to get to the beach. Godrevy is a large beach with huge waves which is perfect for surfers! From the beach, you can see Godrevy Lighthouse on a little island, or you can walk up to Godrevy point to get an even better view. This beach is also a perfect spot to catch the sunset – make sure you bring your camera!
St. Agnes Heritage Coast
St Agnes is a stunning area a little further East of St Ives. It is home to Trevaunance Cove which like many others, is very popular with surfers. You can park your car up the hill by Trevaunance Cove, and take a walk along the coastal path (on the left before you walk down to the beach) for the most amazing views of the beach, and keep walking for about 2 miles, until you reach St Agnes Head. Alternatively, you can drive to St Agnes Head, which has a car park and will only take about 10 minutes.
Port Isaac
Port Isaac is a gorgeous harbour which is very popular among tourists. It is also where the popular TV series Dr Martin was filmed, and you can go and find the house that was used as the Doctors surgery in the series. The harbour has kept its beauty, but also kept up to date with modern needs with multiple restaurants and cafes serving vegan meals. Don’t be afraid to explore the village and you will find so many gorgeous hidden gems along with pottery shops and less than a mile away is Port Gaverne.
Port Gaverne
Port Gaverne is less than a mile away from Port Isaac, a very well-known fishing village. It is a much quieter port, and home to some of the most beautiful coastal walks in the county. There are a couple of independent pubs with gardens in the port, so grab a well deserved drink after your long walk or day on the beach.
Boscastle
Boscastle is another popular tourist village on Cornwall’s North Coast and whilst the village is very small, the views on the walk are hands down my favourite so far. There is a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops in the village, but my favourite part of this village is the incredible views you get from the harbour and Warren Point. Please be careful walking around here, the rocks can get slippy and the wind is sometimes strong enough to make you wobble (I’m not joking)!

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts on Cornwall and reading about its beauty from town to town. It’s a part of the UK I haven’t been to, but I’d like to visit it someday. Thanks for sharing!
